PROJECT STATEMENT

The project aims to provide affordable housing for low-income Oakland based artists. The residential building has a range of unit types to choose from studio, one bedroom, and loft as well as a corresponding home studio environment within the units to meet the different spatial needs of artists and to allow them to create in their homes. Cracks into urban fabric is the key term of this project.
