PROJECT STATEMENT

The project proposes a new island visitor center with exhibition hall, classrooms, library, conference rooms, multipurpose rooms and public spaces for visitor and educational purposes. The program aims to explore and showcase the experiences of early immigrants to the United States and the history of the island itself as an immigration station, and it welcomes visitors and helps people learn about the history of immigrants and immigration station through exhibitions, mini classes and reading materials.
